Effective August 16, 2026
Acceptable Use Policy
Only use WatermarksRemover.co with material you own or are authorized to edit. These boundaries apply to browser-local cleanup and server-side Deep Clean alike.
Section 01
Ownership and authorized use
You may remove supported privacy or generation metadata from your own work, an authorized client's work, or another file for which the rights holder has clearly permitted the edit. You may clean hidden Unicode from text you are entitled to revise. Keep records of permission when the source, license, or intended use could reasonably be disputed.
Do not remove authorship, copyright, licensing, attribution, rights-holder, or provenance information to mislead viewers, evade a license, conceal infringement, or falsely claim a work as your own. Do not describe a locally cleaned file as verified, authentic, detector-free, or human-made merely because selected metadata is absent.
Section 02
Prohibited content and conduct
The following content or use is prohibited whether the material is real, altered, generated, or presented as a template:
- Unauthorized commercial stock-library images or other third-party copyrighted material
- Government documents or records
- Identity documents, identity-verification material, or access credentials
- Financial receipts, statements, payment records, invoices, or similar financial evidence
- Academic degrees, transcripts, professional licenses, employment credentials, or certificates
- Legal evidence, litigation material, regulatory records, or material subject to a preservation duty
- Fraudulent, deceptive, forged, or scam-related material
- Content used to impersonate another person, organization, rights holder, or source
- Non-consensual intimate or sexual content
- Sexual content involving a minor or a person presented as a minor
- Material or activity intended to bypass platform safety, moderation, identity, provenance, or verification controls
- Large-scale or automated cleaning of third-party copyrighted assets
Section 03
No detector, identity, or safety evasion
Do not use the service to defeat AI detectors, make AI content appear human-made, conceal a material edit, bypass a content label, evade moderation, restore a restricted account's reach, or interfere with an identity or age check. Metadata removal is not permission to misstate how media was produced.
Deep Clean may be used only as an authorized, best-effort image regeneration. It must not be used to defeat detectors, conceal authorship, evade a content label, or misrepresent provenance. Visible-logo removal, manual inpainting, server-side batch processing, and public API access are not offered; do not probe or automate private endpoints.
Section 04
Sensitive and high-stakes material
Do not put official, evidentiary, financial, identity, medical, or similarly sensitive files into the tool merely because processing is local. Metadata and hidden characters can be relevant to authenticity, accessibility, records retention, language, direction, or signatures. Altering them can make a record misleading or unusable.
If you are unsure whether removal is authorized or lawful, preserve the original and obtain advice from the relevant rights holder, institution, platform, records custodian, or qualified professional before proceeding.
Section 05
Enforcement and reporting
We may block accounts or requests, rate-limit use, preserve security records, reverse access obtained through abuse, or cooperate with valid legal process when we reasonably identify prohibited use. Account-free access to the local tools does not prevent technical measures against abuse.
Report suspected abuse through the contact method published on the site. Do not send prohibited images or sensitive documents with a report; provide a page address, description, and other non-sensitive information sufficient to review the issue.
